What Is My Perfect Day? What Is Yours?

Don’t you love days like today, I really do. It’s just as I like it. Warm, a bit warm actually, but not too hot, (I hate heat). And there’s no wind and it’s just ideal. I love it like this.

I’ve been out in the car today and I’ve been feeling pretty good. I drive along looking at the views and I love it here where I live. I see cows in the fields and happy people.

But what is a perfect day for me may not be a perfect day for you you know. Perhaps you’ve had some really bad news or maybe you’re sick or maybe you just don’t feel yourself today. It’s all different for you than it is for me. That’s a  little philosophy isn’t it.

It’s all subjective isn’t it? To me it’s a good day, I can’t see any reason why it isn’t a great day. But that’s just me isn’t it? For me it’s a great day but for you it may be terrible.

My point is that everything is subjective. What is a good day to me seems obvious. It couldnt be anything but a great day, for me. But thats only me. I love the day but if you don’t its a terrible day.

What is that makes a good day for me and a terrible day for you? Good question. Its me and you, its how we see it all. Its nothing about the day, its about how we see it. So I see the sunshine, I see the cows, I see the people and more. Much more.

Surely the only explanation is that it’s all in our minds. We see the day through the filter of our minds. We don’t see the day, we see what our minds tell us the day is like. We filter the day through our minds and our experiences. Our mind is all there is.

Even if we have the exact same day you see it different to me. Lets say we both go for that drive together. We both see the happy people, we both see the sunshine, we both see the cows, but we still have a different experience of the day, don’t we? Because our minds filter what we see through the experiences of the past. Perhaps you don’t even see the cows and the sunshine too.
